Fuerteventura
Fuerteventura is the second largest of the Canary Islands. It basks in year round sunshine just 60km off the North African Coast.
The inland landscape of Fuerteventura is gentler and less mountainous than the other islands so it gets very little rainfall and the sun shines just about every day of the year.
With it’s fantastic beaches, catering for sunbathers and watersports fanatics, Fuerteventura is the ideal place for a “chill out” holiday. The main tourist centres are Corralejo in the north, famous for it’s sand dunes, Caleta De Fuste, with it’s bustling harbour and great beach and Costa Calma and Morro Jable in the South, situated at either end of the “Playa de Sotavento”, mile after mile of white sand.
Gran Tarajal is quickly becoming a popular holiday destination. Gran Tarajal still retains a “local” feel, with very few overseas visitors. It has a “Blue Flag” beach and a brand new marina.
